In honor of the 200th anniversary of Évariste Galois (October 25, 1811 - May 31, 1832), it will be held at UNICAMP (Campinas - SP) the <<"Evariste Galois" - Bicentenary - Meeting>>, under organization of the Centre for Logic, Epistemology and History of Science (CLE). The Meeting will be divided into two stages: the "Galois School" and the "Galois Journey".
The purpose of the meeting is to exchange ideas and results that address the so-called "Galois theory" related to various areas of Mathematics and Logic. Of course, a tribute to the young mathematician Galois must present historical aspects of his life and his own intellectual contributions in special exhibitions.
The "Galois School" offers three mini courses, taught by distinguished teachers and researchers from Brazilian universities and institutions.
Mini course 1 - "Traditional Galois Theory"
Mini course 2 - "Expansions of Galois Theory in Algebra"
Mini course 3 - "Riemann hypothesis for algebraic curves"
The "Galois School" mini courses will be taught on 21, 22 and 23 November 2011.
The "Galois Journey" will feature exhibitions and conferences on results or trends over the most advanced "Galois theories" in the indicated areas.
The Journey will occur on 24 and 25 November 2011.
